Glenys Saffigna is a 23-year-old who you would call a bubbly and very social loving soul. She is 100% sass, full of attitude and spunk! Smiling and laughing all the time, Glenys has a zest for life and a desire to be involved in every social situation. Glenys is very routine orientated and hates change. Just like her much adored mum she likes everything to be exactly where it belongs. Don’t worry she'll let you know if it's not! Glenys can be OCD to the extreme with even the door of her sliding wardrobe having to be closed fully with no gap.

​Glenys will have a red-hot crack at most things. She goes bowling, swimming and can even ride a bike. All fully supervised of course!!!

Glenys has knocked down the walls of limitations others put on and continues to live life with a smile, a giggle, a laugh, a caring nature and the desire to never go hungry. All you need to know about Glenys is she loves getting to know you, is great company to be around if you don't mind the same Hi-5 song over and over again. Her repertoire has expanded recently into loving the adventures of King Julien in Madagascar. Glenys' carer support has endlessly helped her to explore different options resulting in far more activities to occupy her.

Glenys hates it when people don’t understand what she is trying to share with them. With the persistence of speech therapy Glenys has learned to communicate using a communication PODD book. Carers or family use this communication book to assist Glenys in understanding what she is being asked to do, what it is time for during the day, or for her to describe her current emotions. Hopefully, at the end of the year she will start to use an electronic communication device.
